Getting started
When do new classes begin?
Classes start every day, so there is no waiting for a cohort to fill. Apply anytime and start when you are ready.
What is the deadline to apply?
There is no deadline. Apply anytime.
Is a GED or high school diploma required?
Yes. A GED or high school diploma is required to enter these programs.
Cost and funding
What is the total cost?
With Instructor tuition is $5,000. Self-Paced Only is $500 per class: start with one class and pay as you go, or pay for the whole program upfront and save 10%. Eligible students may receive WIOA funding toward tuition. For pricing on individual programs, see the Programs page.
Are licenses and certifications included in the cost?
Yes. Licenses and certifications are included in the cost.
Is additional financial assistance available?
Tekskills does not offer separate scholarships or community grants. Eligible students in Arizona, California, Illinois and New York may receive WIOA grant funding.
Is the training Pell Grant eligible?
No, not currently. WIOA is the main grant pathway.
Format and structure
How long does it take to complete?
24 weeks for Cyber Security Specialist with AI-Essentials, IT Support Specialist with AI-Essentials and Graphics Design. 16 weeks for Admin and Accounting Manager with AI-Essentials.
Is the training online, classroom based or hybrid?
Fully online, in two formats: Self-Paced Only, or With Instructor, which adds live online instruction and one-on-one support.
What are the completion requirements?
Passing a performance-based, industry-standard exam. Each program page lists any additional requirements, such as attendance.
What support services do students get?
One-on-one help from an instructor.
Credentials and jobs
What credential do I receive?
An industry-standard license or certification issued by the credentialing agency, such as CompTIA, Adobe or Intuit (QuickBooks Online), rather than a school diploma.
What employment help do graduates get?
Resume writing, interview skills, job referrals, employer job fairs and follow-up services after graduation.
What kinds of jobs do graduates get?
Entry to mid-level positions that require minimal experience.
What is the job placement rate?
65–70% of graduates are placed, in a range of industry sectors.
Everyday logistics
Will I need to change my childcare arrangements?
Not applicable. Training is online and self-paced, so you can study around your schedule.
Is transportation assistance available?
No, and none is needed because training is fully online.
