 Program Description:

The objective of this course is to provide students with comprehensive technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and the necessary tools to enter the cybersecurity field effectively.

This program consists of the following three cyber security courses:

  1. Security Support Specialist (Security+) (48 Hours)
  2. Cyber Defense Professional (CYSA+) (48 Hours)
  3. Ethical Hacking Specialist (CEH) (48 Hours)

 

Security Support Specialist (Security+) (48 Hours)

This course provides the skills necessary to apply and implement technical knowledge of security concepts in today’s security environment. Students will gain an in‐depth knowledge of systems security, access control, network infrastructure, assessments and audits, cryptography and organizational security across all vendor products. These skills have become increasingly important, as additional safeguards such as intrusion detection systems, physical access control and multi‐factor authentication become standard methods of protection. Students are given real world scenarios to reinforce the material covered and will learn how to apply the concepts to their daily operations.

 

Cyber Defense Professional (CYSA+) (48 Hours)

It focuses on the candidate’s ability to not only proactively capture, monitor, and respond to network traffic findings, but also emphasizes software and application security, automation, threat hunting, and IT regulatory compliance, which affects the daily work of security analysts.

It covers the most up-to-date core security analyst skills and upcoming job skills used by threat intelligence analysts, application security analysts, compliance analysts, incident responders/handlers, and threat hunters, bringing new techniques for combating threats inside and outside of the Security Operations Center (SOC).

 

Ethical Hacking Specialist (CEH) (48 Hours)

The purpose of this course is to allow students and IT professionals to move into the cybersecurity field. To do that, students will be provided with hands-on technical skills to help you learn and retain ethical hacking skills. Each section provides you with videos and demonstrations that teach you how to perform necessary tasks. Text lessons help reinforce the concepts taught in the videos, and interactive hands-on labs let you practice the skills you've learned. Within each section, you'll find practice questions to test your knowledge.

Course prerequisites

This course was created with the expectation that you have already taken Basic Computer and Network support classes. You should know what a network is and how it functions. You should have an understanding of IP addressing, as well as basic security practices.

Can I register for courses if I am an international student?

Yes, Tekskills courses are completely online. However, keep in mind that not all certifying bodies or industry-specific certifications are recognized internationally. Please review your country’s regulations prior to enrolling in courses that prepare for certification.

Does this course prepare for a certification?

Yes, this course will prepare you for the PcPro CompTIA A+  Certificate exams and you will receive exam vouchers after successful completion of the program and financial obligation.

This course is open enrollment, so you can register and start the course whenever you are ready. Access to your course can take 24-48 business hours.

How long does it take to complete this course?

After you register, you will have up to 6 months to complete the course. The time allotted for completion has been calculated based on the number of course hours.

What if I don’t have enough time to complete the course within the time frame provided?

If you are unable to complete the course, contact your  itcoach@tekskillsacademy.com to help you work out a suitable completion date. Please note that an extension fee will be charged. If you are funded through a third-party organization, approval may also be required.

What kind of support will I receive?

What happens when I complete the course?

Upon successfully passing the final exam, you will be awarded a certificate of completion from the school or organization that you registered through.
